Step by step

How it works. Three steps, no account.

  1. 01

    Paste the ZPL code

Or drop a .zpl/.txt file onto the conversion area.

  2. 02

    Pick the density

8 dpmm equals 203 dpi (the common thermal default); 12 dpmm is 300 dpi; 24 dpmm is 600 dpi.

  3. 03

    Download the PNG

The image is dot for dot what the printer would produce, in 1-bit black and white.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What resolution is the PNG?

The simulated printer's: at 8 dpmm (203 dpi), a 4x6 in label is about 812×1218 pixels. Switch to 12 or 24 dpmm for more definition.

Is the background transparent?

No — the PNG reproduces the printed label: white background, black ink, exactly as it leaves the thermal printer.

Can I convert many labels at once?

Yes. The PNG button downloads the label currently in the preview; when the file holds more than one, a “PNGs as ZIP” button appears and renders one image per label into a single archive.

Is it really free?

Yes — no signup and no cap on how many conversions you run, because processing happens in your browser and costs us nothing. Large batches in one go are what the paid plan is for.
