Convert PDF to ZPL

Plenty of carriers only hand you a PDF — and thermal printers speak ZPL. Drop the PDF here: each page becomes a high-resolution ZPL label, ready to send to a Zebra or any ZPL-compatible printer. Conversion runs in your browser; the file never leaves your computer.

Step by step

How it works. Three steps, no account.

  1. 01

    Drop the PDF

A carrier label or any other PDF. Each page becomes its own ^XA…^XZ block.

  2. 02

    Pick the density

8 dpmm (203 dpi) matches most thermal printers. The PDF is rasterized at that resolution, so a 4x6 in page comes out at its exact print size.

  3. 03

    Download the ZPL

Check the preview and hit “Download ZPL” — or copy the code straight from the panel into your system.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a PDF shipping label on a thermal printer?

Convert the PDF to ZPL here and send the result to the printer (via the vendor utility, print queue or your own system). The label prints sharp at true size, without the quality loss of driver rescaling.

Do barcodes stay scannable?

Yes. The PDF is rasterized at the printer's real resolution (203, 300 or 600 dpi), dot for dot. For best results, pick the same density as your printer.

Is the generated ZPL editable?

The label becomes a high-resolution graphic (a compressed ^GF command), not individual text fields — ideal for faithful printing, not for editing. If you need editable fields, generate the ZPL natively in your system instead.

Is my PDF safe?

It stays on your computer: rasterization (PDFium compiled to WebAssembly) and conversion run entirely in the browser. Nothing is uploaded — unlike converters that require an upload.

Does it handle multi-page PDFs?

Yes: each page becomes one ZPL label, in the original order, up to 50 pages per file. Step through them in the preview before downloading.
